Where Can I Get the Most Current News?

There are quite a few choices if you want to keep abreast of what's happening at Knitting Matters. Choose the one(s) that are easiest for you:

  • The Knitting Matters group on Ravelry is where to go if you have a question about a pattern or just want to chat with others who have knitted my patterns. The group is my new favorite place to hang out with you, so I hope to get to know you over there. It's a great place to go if you want to see what other people have said about my patterns, and to see their versions of each project.

AND, If you join our Ravelry group and post pictures of your finished Knitting Matters projects, you'll be automatically in the running for a monthly prize (currently it's a gift certificate to your favorite yarn store!).

  • Kim's Blog is where you'll get new pattern announcements as well as more of the day-to-day stuff. I talk about yarns and patterns, of course, but also what I'm reading or my current vegetarian recipes. I also like to talk about the wildlife that we see in the woods around our home here in Michigan. So you see, there can be almost anything on the blog on a given day. You can subscribe with your favorite blog reader (mine's Bloglines), sign up to get an email whenever the blog is updated (there's an email subscription box on the blog sidebar), or just check in whenever you happen to think about it.

  • The Knitting Matters Fan Page on Facebook is mainly used to let you know when there's a new blog post.

  • The News for Knitters newsletter (sign up at bottom of home page) is a monthly (or less often) email newsletter for those who want the convenience of having news come right to your mailbox. In the past I've used this as my primary way to announce new patterns, but now that I've got the Facebook Fan Page and the Knitting Matters Ravelry Group, the newsletter seems redundant. So I'd encourage you to consider one of those other ways if you want to get the news when it's hot. The newsletter is more like a summary of a month's news I guess. (Can you tell I'm trying to figure out how to use the newsletter going forward?)

Regardless of where you get your news, I'd just like to say THANKS for caring enough about Knitting Matters to stay in touch!
