Luffle Scarf (FlexPattern #0803) - (Luscious yarn + Ruffles = Luffle!) The simple lace pattern of this scarf is easy to knit, even for someone new to lace knitting. The first model (the pink one) was knit in Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk Aran. The purple one below is knitted in Cascade Di.Ve Autunno and shows the optional longer ruffle. It could be done just as effectively in any number of yarns from sport weight to aran, although the size will vary if you change the yarn weight.
Yardage requirements: The pink one used 220 yards and the purple one used 307 yards.
(You can print it out to help you when you're buying yarn.) See more pictures of Luffle below or Go back to the gallery to continue browsing.... Note: This pattern was revised on 11/18/2008 to eliminate the center seam and give more options in the FlexTips section.
